Vancouver Rentals

Please Bring clean running shoes.

Your rental includes all other required equipment; grippers, brooms, sliders, delivery stabilizers, and delivery sticks if required.

Participants aged 11 and under must wear a helmet. Please note that helmets are not provided by Vancurl.

Helmets are recommended but not mandatory for participants above the age of 11.

Rentals include professional orientation and instruction on sliding and sweeping safely to get you playing quickly.

Stick curling (up right delivery of the stone) is an option for anyone with limited mobility/flexibility.

VCC rentals are wheelchair-accessible, please email in advance or leave a note on the booking.

A sheet is a lane of ice, which curling is played on. Kind of like a "lane" in bowling.

Each sheet can accommodate eight people.

The Vancouver Curling Club can accept up to 64 people on our eight sheets of ice.

A sheet can fit a maximum of 10 people, if necessary.

The rink can reach temperatures as low as 5 degrees Celsius. To ensure your comfort and mobility on the ice, we recommend wearing warm clothes that don't restrict movement. It's advisable to avoid wearing jeans. Additionally, please bring gloves or mittens and a warm hat for your time on the ice.

Cancellation Policy:

1. Cancellation and Refund Policy
   To secure a full refund of the total rental cost, all cancellations must be communicated with a minimum of 14 days written notice before the scheduled rental date.
2. Reservations and Holds
   A booking guarantee necessitates a full payment. This ensures the reservation and secures the allocated ice time for your group.
   A hold may be requested, your preferred timeslot will be held for a maximum of 7 days.
3. Rescheduling Flexibility
   Life's uncertainties may impact your plans. If unforeseen circumstances arise, you can reschedule your booking with at least 7 days written notice before the rental date. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred new dates, subject to availability, with no additional fees.
4. Adjustments to Sheet Quantity
   Should you need to reduce the number of sheets ordered, kindly inform us in writing at least 5 days before the rental date. A 100% refund will be issued for the reduction of one sheet; however, additional sheet reductions will only receive a 50% refund.
5. Late Cancellation or No-Show Policy Cancellations made within 14 days of the rental date will not be eligible for a refund, and the full rental cost will be retained. Failure to provide prior notice of cancellation and a no-show will also result in the full rental cost being retained.
